C. Reider
the Electret Quintet



     These are experimental explorations of the textures and sounds of analogue drum machines made by C. Reider. [[who is C. Reider?]]

     The intentions of this project were: to use single analogue x0x (et al) machines as sound source material for each individual track -- to use those well-trodden sounds in non-standard ways -- to expand upon the ideas first explored in my earlier release Fine Failures -- to draw upon the styles of industrial, IDM, minimal-techno and noiseambient without having the work be strictly classified as any one of those styles.

     The Electret Quintet is a series of five releases each with five parts. The parts are featured (more or less) chronologically in the order they were recorded. All tracks were recorded in 2008, mixed, mastered and released in 2009.
