c. reider / the implicit order
opposing theories

     In 1998 I collaborated with Anthony Washburn, a.k.a. the Implicit Order, after having contacted him in the cassette underground. I was - and still am - really impressed with the strength of his recorded work, on tapes such as "They Live In the Sky" and "Compiled".

      Together, through trading tapes of sound sources in the mail, we recorded two tapes worth of material, and released a double cassette collection, although probably fewer than 20 of the copies were ever sent to anyone.

     Some of these tracks were later released on The Implicit Order's CD "Ethric Doubles" on EE Tapes. "Criogenia" and "Abandoned Theory" were originally released on "Triple Occupancy" a three-way split between C. Reider, the Implicit Order and De Fabriek.

     The whole recording, divided into four parts, like the four sides of two tapes, is now available for free download below. Photographic art by caerie.
