New at Dystimbria

Sunday, 01 January 2014

There are two new releases available at Dystimbria.

Dystimbria is a netlabel focusing on music that lies between ambient and noise music. Each new release samples from the previous releases, lending a continuity to the catalog.

The newest releases for 2014 are by Katarrhaktes with a track called “The Breath that Conjured the Fall” and Kinematik VKE giving us “Placental Drops From A Gestating Sky”

They are both available for downloading and streaming for free at http://dystimbria.cc

ABOUT DYSTIMBRIA:

Katie Gately – Across the River

Sunday, 02 February 2013

The newest track available on Dystimbria is by Katie Gately, and it’s called “Across the River”

It’s sixteen minutes of bliss, I’m really very fond of this one indeed, hope you will be too.

You may also notice while you’re there, that I have fully implemented Sonic Squirrel widgets for all tracks, so you can stream every track in a pop-up player and also download from the Sonic Squirrel mirror if you prefer that.

Sonic Squirrel

Sunday, 01 January 2013

I have made a mirror of all tracks from Dystimbria netlabel that have been released up until now.

Visit Dystimbria on Sonic Squirrel:

Sonic Squirrel does streaming, so maybe the biggest news here is that all of the tracks on Dystimbria are now streamable. In celebration, I made a big squirrely playlist of all the tracks, it’s four hours long!

Dystimbria

Wednesday, 09 September 2012

The netlabel Dystimbria has been down for an unknown amount of time, I hadn’t checked on it in a little while and somehow the domain registrar charged me to renew but didn’t actually renew.

It should be up and running now, however I’ve noticed that the site has not propagated out to the entire world yet. My friends in Canada can see the site at the present, but I cannot!

Hope you haven’t thought that Dystimbria had been abandoned it is still alive and well, and looking for new contributions!

Next Year Geometry

Monday, 06 June 2012

I’m a little late to post this notification, but I’d like to announce a new node to the ever expanding line of in-between experimental music housed at the Dystimbria netlabel.

Every release on Dystimbria samples from and builds upon the previous releases, the idea is to find a space to occupy between ambient and noise music. Anyone can approach me if they want to participate.

The newest artist to do so is David Nemeth, who uses all previous Dystimbria releases to cobble together his stupendous “Next Year Geometry”.

This and all other releases can be downloaded for free at Dystimbria.cc

Swamp Monsters, Secret Prisons

Sunday, 03 March 2012

The tenth iteration of the Dystimbria saga appears in the form of “Swamp Monsters, Secret Prisons” by Chicago artist Cinchel.

The method of Dystimbria production involves re-use of previously released tracks as sound source material for new tracks, and Cinchel takes a bit from each of the nine tracks already released to produce a brief and dramatic piece of organized sound.

Two New Pieces at Dystimbria

Thursday, 01 January 2012

Two new tracks have just gone live at Dystimbria, the new netlabel devoted to a continually evolving community discussion in sound of the grey areas between noise and ambient.

The two new tracks are really heavy and incredibly good. These are some of my favorite entries yet! Don’t miss them.

Dystimbria #8 – Mutant Beatnik’s “Rainbow Vomitorium” is a constantly evolving composition of entrancing and exciting textures and noises. Incredible. This will take the top of your head clean off.

Dystimbria #9 – Post-Avantist’s “Vasiform Rima” is a slow-burning, slow-churning piece of quasi-doom-metal DROOOOOOOONNNNNNEEE. Grrrruuuuhhhh!!!!

Get them both right now for free at http://dystimbria.cc
